By default, Jira hides installed apps. So, the first step is to add the Team Files app to your issue.

Instructions:

In the issue, click the “Attach items with Team Files” button or the button with the Team Files icon Click the “Team Files” button below the issue title.

Tip

And that’s it. The app will load below the issue description and always appear when you return to that issue (but you can hide it again).

  1. Click the “Attach file/folder” button.

  2. Browse your connected folders in the Team Files dialog. If you haven't connected any folders, you can do so now. You can connect more folders from the context menu, as in the file manager.

  3. Select Click the checkbox to select the files and folders you want to attach by clicking the checkbox. You’ll see them appear on . They will appear in the live preview pane on the right side.

  4. Optional: click the “Layout” tab to customize how attachments look on your page.

  5. Click the “Attach” button.

In Jira, you can attach files and folders to your issues directly from the file manager, which is accessible from the sidebar.

You can set different layout settings when attaching files and folders to your issue or by clicking the “Layout” button when you already have attached something. Removing attached files and folders

You can remove specific files and folders attached to an issue at any moment.

Instructions:

  1. Click the “Manage” button.

  2. Click the “Unlink” button on the files and folders you want to remove.

  3. Click the “Done” button to end the management mode.

Tip

It's all done. Your files and folders are safe and sound in your storage place, but they are no longer connected to the issue.

Note

This action is undoable, but you can attach the files and folders again.

Hiding the app

You can also hide the entire app on the issue page while keeping all the files and folders attached.

Instructions:

  1. Click the context menu in the top right corner.

  2. Click the “Hide Team File” option.
