About the Team Files project settings
Project managers can find the Team Files project settings in the “Apps” section of the Project settings, accessible from the project sidebar or menu.
Team Files availability
By default, the Team Files app is available for every project. Project managers can deactivate the app in the project settings if the app isn’t required in that project.

To deactivate the Team Files app, click the toggle to turn it off. You can reactivate it at any time by clicking the toggle again to turn it on.
Changing this setting saves automatically and applies immediately.
Automation
In the automation panel you’ll find options to have repetitve tasks done automatically.
Create and attach a folder to new issues automation
With this automation active, whenever a user creates an issue, Team Files creates a folder and attaches it to the issue.
Activating the automation
Open the automation panel from the Team Files project settings
Click the toggle to activate the automation
Click the “Connect” button to select an automation folder. This folder will store the folders the automation will create
Select a folder from the connect folder modal. If you don’t have any folders connected, you’ll need to connect one first.
Click connect.
The automation is ready and starts working immediately.
Success case:
The initial message is updated, and now the connect button becomes disabled.
The audit log needs to be further specified with the dev team. Mock: https://www.figma.com/file/lb8E9Glw921NNP2hlw8bos/TF-2022-Q4-issues?node-id=248%3A24036
The audit button will always be available. Initially, it will be empty, and if the automation is disabled in the future, the log will still be there.
The folder details are shown in the list. mock: https://www.figma.com/file/lb8E9Glw921NNP2hlw8bos/TF-2022-Q4-issues?node-id=430%3A19354
By default, we add a label to the folder the user selected.
Yellow, bold style, with a mix of emojis and text to represent the automation.
The PM can edit the label and even remove it.
The more button (···) has the option to open the folder in the original storage and the option to disconnect
Edge cases:
If the PM activates the automation but doesn't connect a folder to the automation, either because they went back to the settings hub or just changed to another page, the automation slider is turned off when they return to the page. Likewise, the message in the hub is that the automation is turned off until there's a connected folder.
If the PM turns off the automation, the folder information should be kept so that it's ready to go if they reactivate the automation.
If the PM disconnects the automation folder, the connect button becomes active again. If they go away from the page before connecting to another folder, the automation is turned off when they return to the page. Automation audit log
Create and attach a folder for customers to new service management issues flow:
This flow works mostly the same way as the first, but when connecting the folder, the customer permissions tab should be visible so that the PM can adjust if the automation folders should allow customers to edit or download files.
By default, we add a label to the folder the PM selected.
Green, light style, with a mix of emojis and text to represent the automation.
Edge case:
If the PM connects the same folder for the automation, the label should be green, and the mix of emojis shows that it's for both cases.
Automation folders in the File Manager
The automation folders are shown in the file manager and work as normal folders. Users can browse the content, add files, and so on.
Disconnect folder automation:
Automation folders can't be disconnected in the File Manager. The project manager needs to disconnect it from the Automation panel in the Project settings.
Automation folders in the Issue
The folder created by the automation is added to the issue, and the app panel is shown directly (is it possible?)
